Abstract
— This study was done to analyzed the construction of Indonesian insights that appear in teen magazines circulating in Indonesia both locally and franchised. This study has used descriptive qualitative method for analysis. Data was analyzed in terms of related theories, such as concepts about nationalism, insight into Indonesianness and cultural citizenship. The magazines that was analyzed in this work comprised of Gadis, Kawanku, Speak, Gogirl, CampusmagZ and Cosmo Girl. The outcome of this work found that from the analyzed magazines, the Indonesianess construction for millennial generation is citizenhood and is not only limited to citizenship. These maganizes has focused on values and principles which serves as guidance for the teen readers. In addition, the findings of this work has found that Indonesianness is not a hollow concept of space and time. However, Indonesianness is a process that will continue to evolve in accordance with its era.
