N2 - This study aims to analyze and describe the quality of swanggi fish and determine the external factors that affect the quality of swanggi fish (Priacanthus macracanthus) at the Fish Auction Place (TPI) Brondong, Lamongan, East Java. The type of research used is descriptive survey research. The test parameters in this study were organoleptic test, pH test and formalin test to analyze and describe the quality of swanggi fish. In addition, a causal analysis was also carried out to determine the externalfactors that affect the quality of swanggi fish. This research was carried out at the Fish Auction Place (TPI) Brondong, PPN Brondong, Lamongan, East Java on February 01 to February 24, 2022. The results of organoleptic and pH testing of swanggi fish were declared still fit for consumption but found 68 samples. formalin positive swanggi fishor 24.29% of the total test samples. Meanwhile, the external factor of the decline in the quality of swanggi fish is strongly influenced by the lack of monitoring and evaluationof good fish handling practice (CPIB).
