Abstract

Hepatitis E disease is caused by hepatitis E virus (HEV). The transmission of hepatitis E from feces to the mouth is mainly through contaminated water and food. This paper proposes the dynamics of HEV transmission through a mathematical model. We analyze stability of equilibria point of the model. In addition, we analyze parameter sensitivity to determine the important role of every single parameter value on the model. Furthermore, we impose treatment and virus extermination on the model as strategy control to reduce HEV transmission. The simulation results indicate that the performance of two controls is effective to minimize the number of infected human and reduce the number of viruses in the environment.
