Abstract
East Java is one of the provinces in Indonesia with the prevalence of stunting in children under five is medium. For this reason, mapping of children under five with the potential for stunting risk is needed as initial information in efforts to eliminate stunting. The aim of this study was to learn about the potential for children under five to be at risk of stunting in East Java and to analyze its relationship with indicators of pre-prosperous families.. This study uses secondary data from family data collection 2021. The data was obtained through a cencus by recording all families who were targeted in East Java. Data collection through home visits using a F/I/PK/21 form and inputted directly through a smartphone-based application. Mapping of target families with the potential for stunting risk in this study using one of the screening methods, namely pre-prosperous families. Data is presented descriptively in the form of pictures. Data analysis using pearson correlation test. There are 11.848.066 heads of families in East Java that have been recorded. The number of children under five with the greatest potential for stunting risk is in Malang Regency, followed by Jember and Surabaya City. Meanwhile, based on percentage, the areas with the greatest potential risk of stunting are Sampang Regency, Bangkalan and Sumenep. It can be concluded that children under five are potentially at risk of stunting and pre-prosperous family in East Java are concentrated in certain cities and districts. The results of statistical analysis show that the risk of stunting is related to families with children aged 7-15 years who are not in school (p-value<0,001), families with no family members who have a source of income to meet monthly basic needs (p-value=0,001), not every family member eats “various foods” at least twice a day (p-value<0,001) and pre-prosperous family (p-value<0,001). Therefore, it is necessary to accelerate the alleviation of pre-prosperous families through established indicators as well as budget increases and stunting reduction acceleration programs in districts or cities with the greatest potential for stunting risk.
