Abstract

This current research is aiming to show protective/enabler factor, and risk/resistor factors towards stunting alleviation program in urban village with high prevalence case of stunting in Surabaya. Surabaya citizen come from a diverse cultural backgrounds, sosio-economical status, and neighborhood situation. This research applied Focus Group Discussion (FDG) in 10 urban villages, involving sub-district officers, Health Cadres, PLKB (Family Planning Facilitators), PKK (Women Union at Kelurahan), midwives, Rumah Dataku officers, Early Childhood (PAUD) teachers, and Family Guidance Team (TPK). FGDs were held on during September to October 2022 using interview guidelines which was designed by the research team. Data were analyzed descriptively to conclude the protective/enabler factors, and risk/obstacle factors. Results show describe the diversity of situations in each urban village. The results will be combined with the results of the stunting data as a recommendation for stunting management strategies to the relevant officer in Surabaya.
