Abstract
Teens in Indonesia are vulnerable in sexual behavior and unhealthy reproductive health. From the pilot research, unwanted pregnancies often occur in adolescents among Tenggerese people from Tosari District, Pasuruan. Teen pregnancies lead to low birth weight and infant mortality. The aim of this study are (1) describe about creative learning methods in providing knowledge on adolescent reproductive health to the members of "Laskar Pencerah” Tosari who become peer educator in Tosari, (2) explore about sustainability of this program. This study was conducted with a qualitative method using study case approach. The data collected through self-report evaluation after the program end and in-depth interview about the outcome of this program after the members running the program independently for two years, the subjects for in-depth interview are the members, primary health care chief, and school teacher. For the result, creative learning performed for about 6 months in three periods could improve the members' knowledge and skill of “Laskar Pencerah” Tosari about adolescent reproductive health. Creative learning can support the empowerment of adolescent in District Tosari who joined “Laskar Pencerah”. After trained, they are ready to become peer educator of adolescent reproductive health to their peers, train their junior for the next peer educator, and run this program independently through collaboration with strong other stakeholders, especially Tosari Primary Health Care.
