Abstract

Background: The mandibular bone consists of the mandibular corpus and the mandibular ramus. Radiographic examinations which are generally used to view teeth and jaws are panoramic radiographs. Purpose: This literature study aims to to conduct research on evaluating the position of the mental foramen based on age and gender. Methods: This type of study was observational descriptive. It consisted of 98 samples divided by age and sex. The sex variable is divided into 2 groups, male and female. Result: in the age group 26-35 years the position of the left mental foramen found the position of the mental foramen parallel to the first molar teeth.
