Management of pleural Empyema with Klebsiella pneumonia infection in cat

Abstract

A 3 years, female cat weighing 3 kg domestic short hair breed was presented with history of lethargy, fever, cough, lost of appetide and nasal discharge for seven past days to La Femur Veterinary Clinic, Surabaya. Base on the radiology and clinical microbiogy examination, the cat was diagnose as infectious pleural effusion as Klebsiela pneumonia was detected. Thoraccocentesis was performed along with treatment of particular antibiotic-supplement combination. After three days of treatment the condition the cat was improved.
