Intensive enlargement management of vannameii shrimp ( Litopenaeus vannamei) in Banyuwangi

Abstract

Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) becomes main commodities aquaculture productions in Indonesia which has high economic value. The production strategy and management of vannamei shrimp culture must be considered and developed mainly at the enlargement stage to produce a consumption measure and export size. Feeding management was done by blind feeding program and demand feeding with ancho as monitoring tool, also biomass sampling control. The frequency of feeding is 2-5 times a day with a distance of 3-4 hours. Water quality monitoring is carried out in situ and ex situ including 7.6-8.1 in pH, temperature was 26-28°C, brightness was 28-40 cm, dissolved oxygen was 3.76-4.66 ppm, salinity was 27-29 ppt, and water height was 110-140 cm.
