Abstract

Stunting is a growth failure condition (body and brain growth) in under five-years-old children due to malnutrition for a long time, so they become shorter than children their age. Chronic malnutrition occurs from infancy in the womb to children aged two years. The period of the first 1000 days of life should receive special attention because it determines a person’s physical growth, intelligence, and productivity in the future. This research aimed to determine how implementing the Village Fund as an intervention to support the reduction of stunting in Pandan Wangi Village, Diwek District, Jombang Regency, Indonesia. This research was a qualitative descriptive study by taking primary data through interviews with informants who were selected based on the expertise of 5 respondents and also taking secondary data for analysis. The results showed that the implementation of Village Funds to support stunting reduction interventions by the indicators of specific and sensitive nutrition interventions succeeded in reducing the number of stunted children by 56 in 2021 and 35 in November 2022.
