Abstract
Introduction: Hospitals need human resources, one of which is midwifery. Midwives have a high vulnerability to work fatigue due to the schedule of activities serving patients according to work shifts, a large number of patients per day, and the different conditions of patients. Work fatigue is caused by internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include age, gender, nutritional status, and years of service, anthropometry, and education. While external factors include physical workload and mental workload. Objective: This study aims to see the relationship between the length of service, nutritional status, and mental workload with complaints of work fatigue in midwives at Hospital X Surabaya. Methods: This type of research uses an observational method with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used total sampling with a sample of 12 midwives. The research instrument used the NASA-TLX and IFRC questionnaires. This study used descriptive analysis and Spearman's rho test. Results: The results showed a significant relationship between years of service (ρ = 0.028), nutritional status (ρ = 0.015), and mental workload (ρ = 0.009) with complaints of work fatigue in midwives at Hospital X Surabaya. Conclusion: It was concluded that warm ginger compresses had a significant effect on menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in young women at MTS Hubulo boarding school in Gorontalo.
