Abstract
Introduction: Job satisfaction is a person’s positive feelings towards work, which is obtained through a match between what employees expect and what is provided by the company. Social support from superiors, coworkers, and family can affect employee’s job satisfaction. Objective: The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between social support and job satisfaction on aviation security at PT. Angkasa Pura I Yogyakarta International Airport. Methods: The design of this research is analytic observational. The population were all aviation security employees at PT. Angkasa Pura I Yogyakarta International Airport totaling 251 people. The research sample was 72 people, used simple random sampling. The variable studied were social support and job satisfaction. Data analysis using the Spearman Correlation analysis technique. Results: The results show that the majority of respondents (38,9%) have social support in the high category. The majority respondents (56,9%) have job satisfaction in the satisfied category. Analysis test show that there is relationship between social support and job satisfaction with p value = 0.000 < α 0.05. Conclusion: It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between social support and job satisfaction on aviation security employees at PT. Angkasa Pura I Yogyakarta International Airport. The increase in the social support variable will be responded to with an increase also in job satisfaction.
