Abstract
Chalcogenide glasses from (GeTe4)100-xInx and (GeTe5)100-xInx with x = 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 at % systems were investigated to define the glass forming ability. Parameters considered are number of constraints per atom, average coordination number and mean bond energy. The compositional dependence of these parameters is discussed in correlation with experimental obtained density, compactness and molar volume of the glasses. The stability of the glasses is confirmed through thermal properties study.
