Abstract

Bronze featherback fish Notopterus notopterus is a family of notopteridae native to river drainage in South and Southeast Asia, which are distributed in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. This study aims to identify the molecular phylogenetic of Notopterus notopterus in Java, Indonesia based on the Cytochrome Oxidase subunit I (COI) gene. This specimen from the brantas river has 680 base pairs with 99.84% identity value for Notopterus notopterus.
