Excision of odontoma with local anesthesia in an 8-year-old girl: A case report

Objectives:: The most prevalent odontogenic tumors of the jaws are termed odontomas, and they are identified by their slow expansion and no aggressive behavior. Excision of odontoma with local anesthesia are associated with minimal intraoperative discomfort and reduced recovery times compared to procedures performed under general anesthesia. Case report: An 8-year-old girl presented with a hard bony swelling, painless, and failure to erupt of the upper front tooth. The excision was performed under local anaesthesia. Results: The histopathological examination indicated that the lesion was an odontoma. #22 was erupted after ten weeks of excision. Conclusion: The excision surgery with local anesthesia was well-tolerated for 8-years-old patient with minimal discomfort and faster healing.
