N2 - Background: The Child Behavior Checklist/1,5-5 is a widely utilize to assess emotional and behavioral problems (EBP) in children aged 1,5-5 years in USA and Europe. Although, CBCL/1,5-5 have been used on ASD and normal children in many societies. However, the CBCL/1,5-5 in Indonesian version has not been proven to assess EBP in Indonesian ASD children. Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of CBCL/1,5-5 to screen of EBP in Indonesian children with ASD. Method: This study used a Cross-Sectional design. One hundred and eighteen mothers of ASD and Typical Development children (TD) were registered in this study. Statistical analysis was performed using A Chi-Square and Independent T-Test. Results: Six of seven CBCL/1,5-5 scales were significantly higher in children with ASD compared to TD (except anxious). Total problems, internalizing, and externalizing scores were significantly higher in ASD than those with TD children in Indonesia. Conclusions: The CBCL/1,5-5 is suitable tool to detect problem of emotional and behavioral in Indonesian ASD children.
