Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits of Moringa oleifera Lam extracts on the testicular histopathology of male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) exposed to hot temperatures. This study used 25 white rats, aged 2-3 months and weighed 200 grams. The white rats were divided into five treatment groups and each group contained five white rats. K- were given 1% CMC Na 1ml, K + was given 1% CMC Na 1 mL and exposed to hot temperatures (40 oC for 60 minutes). The treatment groups P1, P2, and P3 were given Moringa leaf extract at doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg kgbb and exposed to hot temperatures (40oC for 60 minutes). This research was conducted for 14 days. Data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests with the SPSS computer program for windows. The results showed that there were significant differences (p <0.05) between treatment groups. The conclusion of this study is the extract of Moringa leaf at a dose of 400 mg/kg can maintain the histopathological feature of white mouse testis due to exposure to hot temperatures.
