Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of combination Electrolyzed Reduced Water (ERW) and EGCG (Epigallocatechin-3-Gallate) on RANKL expression and osteoclast number in orthodontics relapse wistar rats (Rattus novergicus). Thirty-six 36 Samples of R. novergicus were divided into 6 groups and given a 14-day combination of ERW and EGCG On days 7 and 14 the rats were euthanized with the maxilla bone subsequently removed for immunohistochemistry testing. RANKL expression was evaluated with immunohistochemical staining, the amount of osteoclast determined with the assistance of haematoxyl-eosine stain. Combination ERW and EGCG inhibit RANKL expression and osteoclast number on days 14 in orthodontics relapse wistar rats. Combination of ERW and EGCG is a potential therapy enhancing alveolar bone remodeling to prevent orthodontic tooth relapse in wistar rats.
