Abstract

A new biotransformation product, salicyl alcohol-7-O-β-D-(β-1,6-D-glucopyranosyl)-glucopyranoside was isolated from cell suspension cultures of Solanum laciniatum, following administration of salicyl alcohol, and its structure was elucidated using a combination of one-and two-dimensional 1H and 13C-NMR data, and positive and negative ion ESMS data.
