Abstract

This study was undertaken to examine the effect of PUFA maize based diets on egg production, egg quality, and feed intake in layers quail. The dietary treatment were basal diet with oil inclusion of PUFA at 0%, 3%, 6%levels. Egg production during the experiment (10 weeks) did not significantly improved. In contrast, feed intake and egg quality decreased significantly. This research indicate that adding of PUFA could not improve the production performance, feed intake and egg quality in Japanese Quails.
