Abstract

Two xanthones, gerontoxanthone I and macluraxanthone, were isolated from the stem bark of Cratoxylum sumatranum. Their structures were determined based on UV, HRESI-MS, 1D, and 2D NMR spectral data. Compounds 1 and 2 showed high activity against T47D cells with an IC50 of 1.10 and 1.60 μg/mL.
