Abstract

In recent years, the use of AI technologies has gained popularity in various industries, including the travel and hospitality sector. This paper aims to investigate the potential of leveraging ChatGPT to enhance customer experience in Halal-friendly travel. We provide a comprehensive conceptual analysis of the benefits, challenges, and risks related to the adoption of ChatGPT in Halal tourism. Specifically, we discuss the key benefits and opportunities of using ChatGPT in the context of Halal travel. Additionally, we explore some of the potential challenges and risks associated with implementing ChatGPT in Halal tourism. Finally, this paper proposes a research agenda for investigating the potential impacts of ChatGPT on Halal travel and the hospitality industry, highlighting some of the key research questions that need to be addressed to fully understand the implications of this technology in this context.
