Abstract

Vannamei shrimp (L. vannamei) is one of the popular aquaculture commodities in Indonesia. This is because vaname shrimp has various advantages compared to other species, such as fast growth rate, can be cultivated with high stocking density, tolerant of high salinity ranges, relatively uniform harvest size, and easy to cultivate. Vannamei shrimp also has many benefits. For example, its meat can be processed as nuggets or food and the shell can be used for medical, cosmetic and even biotechnology. This study aims to determine the production of vaname shrimp at UPT Bangil, one of the largest shrimp productions in East Java. The results of this study showed that the average daily gain of vaname shrimp at UPT Bangil had a yield of 0.33 g/day, and the weight of each shrimp increased to 15.7 g/head. Vannamei shrimp could be harvested at DOC 83 and yields 193.5 kg, with a size of 58. This shows good performance of vaname shrimp enlargement in UPT Bangil.
