Description
This is a study analysing the trends and inequalities in the utilization of maternal health services among Indonesian women. Indonesian Demographic and Health Surveys (IDHS) for 2007, 2012, and 2017 data were extracted following predefined criteria to analyse data gathered from 27108 women aged 20-35 years.

This study analysed the trends and inequalities in the utilization of maternal health services among Indonesian women. Higher levels of education, wealth index, and ideal number of children were identified as the characteristics commonly found among women who utilize healthcare providers for safe maternity and labour services.
Key findings
Women aged 26-30 and 31-35 generally had greater odds of accessing antenatal care (ANC), intranatal, postnatal care (PNC), and family planning services. Higher levels of education, wealth index, and ideal number of children were associated with greater utilization of all identified services.
