Projecting Labor Market Impacts of Indonesia’s Transition to a Nurse Exporting Nation, known as PELITA, is an interdisciplinary and internationally collaborative research project funded by the Volkswagen Foundation. It investigates how large-scale international deployment of Indonesian nurses transforms domestic labor market dynamics, wage structures, and health service delivery.
At its core, PELITA investigates how large scale international deployment of Indonesian nurses may transform domestic labor market dynamics. This includes changes in labor supply and demand, wage structures, employment conditions, career trajectories, and regional distribution of nurses across Indonesia.
