Sapta Aprilianto is a member of the Criminal Law Department, Faculty of Law, Universitas Airlangga. He completed his bachelor at Faculty of Law, Univeristas Airlangga, and his master at Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)

Apart from teaching, researching, and doing law-related projects, he is of the Criminal Law and Criminology Society (MAHUPIKI)). Since 2021, he is in charge as Director of Legal Aid Unit of Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga
