Mr. Ferry is a Professor in the Department of Community Health Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Airlangga University, Surabaya, Indonesia. He is an active member of the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators (ACHNE) based in Dayton. His PhD in community health nursing focuses on Indonesian migrant nurses, addressing challenges such as ethical recruitment, fair labor practices, and health equity. Mr. Ferry has also collaborated with Indonesia's Ministry of Health and developed Pasar Kerja Perawat, an Android-based application with over 6,000 users from Indonesia and abroad. In addition, he also had been involved in various projects within the area of Human Resources for Health at the Ministry of Health of Indonesia. His research interests include: Health Policy, Community Health, Maternal and Child Health, and Nurse Migration. Ferry has been recognized as one of the Top 2% of World Scientists in the nursing field for three consecutive years (2022–2024) by Elsevier and Stanford University. Recently, Prof. Ferry was honored as an Academic Leader 2024 by the Ministry of Education of Indonesia in recognition of his outstanding contributions to education and research.
