Dr. Astutik completed her Bachelor of Law, Master of Law, and Doctor of Law at the Faculty of Law, Airlangga University, Surabaya. Dr. Astutik is a lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law, Faculty of Law, Airlangga University. She joined as a lecturer in 1992. Teaches courses on health law, criminal law, crimes against life and property, criminal press law, and criminal drug law. Dr. Astutik is a member of the Criminal Law and Criminology Society (MAHUPIKI) association. Apart from teaching, Dr. Astutik is active in research and published some articles such as Abortion Due to Rape: In the Perspective of Health Law, Several Obstacles in Proving Doctors' Fault/Negligence in Carrying Out the Profession; Crime Without Victims; National Medical Service Standards as a Form of Restricting Patient Profession Autonomy; Actions of Circumcision by Nursing Staff in the perspective of Malpractice; Development Strategy for Narcotics Convicts in Correctional Institutions; Implementation of the Right to Refuse for Journalists as Witnesses in Court; and several other publications. In addition, Dr. Astutik has been the secretary of the Criminal Law Department of Airlangga University. From 2015-2020 she has been the Chair of the Criminal Law Department and the Head of the Center for Health Law Studies 2016-present.
